Medstrom is a service company providing a Bed & Mattress maintenance and decontamination service within NHS hospitals through a number of Total Bed Management accoun! ts (TBM).

They currently have a vacancy for a field Clinical Sales Representative to provide a high level of technical and customer service to their clients across Northern Ireland. The position will be home based in the Belfast Area and a vehicle is provided. This is a full time position and the company offers excellent long term prospects and an immediate start for the right person. Candidates will be RGN qualified, hold up to date NMC registration and a full Driving Licence.This position would ideally suit someone with a nursing/clinical/medical background who has moved into sales. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving sales in a given territory, achieving a pre-set rental plan and providing clinical and account management support to designated contracted accounts. Allocation of time as follows:

  • Clinical support x 3 days per week
  • Account Management x 0.5 days per week
  • Sales x 1.5 days per week
  • DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Management of clin! ical activities within contracted accounts, both at ward level and strategically.
    Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers.
    Bridge any gaps within contracted accounts with regards to products and knowledge.
    Organise and attend monthly Stake-Holder Meetings in contracted accounts and take full account management responsibility.
    Listen to customer requirements to gain a clear understanding and present appropriate solutions to gain new business both in existing contracted account and brand new accounts.
    Overcome any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy.
    Arrange customer meetings through cold calling, telephone and emailing to prospect new business.
    Respond to incoming email and phone enquiries,
    Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close the sale.
    Gather market and customer information and feeding back via your Manager or Marketing.
    Represent Medstrom at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrati! ons.
    Advising and discussing special promotions.
    Use of the CRM tool, to include forecasting.
    Attending team meeting and sharing best practice with colleagues and your Manager.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
    Excellent relationship building skills
    Presence at ward level.
    Researching the market and related products.
    Ability to comfortably demonstrate the key advantages of your product line in a structured professional manner face to face.
    Understand the competitor products and be able to handle objections.
    Be results orientated.

    PERSONAL QUALITIES:
    A good communicator.
    Ability to build strong customer relationships .
    A self-motivator, with a strong outward personality.
    Positive attitude.
    Organised.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
    Registered Nurse.
    Clinical experience in a commercial environment.
    Account Management and / or Sales experience an advantage.
    Ability to wo! rk independently.
    Full drivers licence.
