The post holder is required to carry out all relevant forms of care and is responsible for the assessment; development, implementation and evaluation of patientsÂ' ca! re needs.

The post holder will be required to liaise with nursing and medical colleagues and other members of the Multidisciplinary Health Care teams to ensure the delivery of effective patient care.

The post holder will be expected to regularly take charge of the ward in the absence of the person who has continuing responsibility approximately 50% - 100% of shifts depending on day/night rota.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is the largest health organisation in Wales, providing a full range of primary, community, mental health and acute hospital services for a population of around 676,000 people, across the six counties of North Wales (Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham) as well as some parts of mid-Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire.

The Health Board employs around 16,500 staff and has a budget of around £1.2 billion. It is responsible for the operati! on of three district general hospitals (Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bang! or, Ysbyty Glan Clwyd near Rhyl, and Wrexham Maelor Hospital), as well as 22 other acute and community hospitals and a network of over 90 health centres, clinics, community health team bases and mental health units. The Health Board also coordinates the work of 121 GP practices and NHS services provided by North WalesÂ' Dentists, Opticians and Pharmacies.
