Duration = approx 9 months.
Applicants will be registered with General Dental Council and have either of the fo! llowing; National Diploma in Dental Nursing, NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing or QCF Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing.
Employment Duties
Carry out high quality dental nursing to assist each Dentist and Hygienist in all their dental procedures in a safe and effective manner
Ensure that all cross-infection procedures are carried out in all the work undertaken by the practice
Assist with reception or any clerical duties as required
Setting up and preparing the surgery before the start of each clinical session
Ensure that the dental surgery operates efficiently, is fully stocked and equiped, and that the operating environment for the dentist is as efficient as possible
Deal competently and safely with hazardous or toxic waste or materials
Greet patients at door and escort to and from surgery
be able to communicate comfortably and effectively with patients about money and accept payments for treatment! s in the appropriate manor
Be capable of using comput! er system within the Practice effectively
