We are delivering Supported Living Services, p roviding an enabling environment and Positive Behaviour Support. As part of service development we wish to recruit a Registered Manager for our West Belfast Service.
Hours: 37 hours per week + on-call rota
Contract: 12 Months
Location: West Belfast Support Living Services
Salary: 3 point incremental scale starting on £28,485 per annum
Essential Criteria:
Applicants must have the appropriate combination of qualification, registration and experience to be a registered Manager of a Domiciliary Care Service as set out below:
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adultsâ Management) Wales and Northern Ireland and registered, or be eligible for registration on appointment on the appropriate part of the NISCC register, without condition.
For those with a Social Work / Nursing or PAMS qualification â" A minimum of 4 yearsâ experience in the provision/co-ordinat ion of education, training or support services for individuals with disability or other vulnerable groups
For those who hold a relevant QCF Level 5 qualification - a minimum of five years practice experience in any health and social care setting with one or more of the service user groups supported by the agency that must include at least two years relevant experience in an operational management position .
The ability to lead a team and work as part of a team.
Good organisational skills
Good communication & interpersonal skillsProficiency of using standard office IT applications such as Word, Excel, the internet and email
Hold a full current driving license valid for use in UK and Ireland and have access to a car on appointment
This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable application who has a disability which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post
Desirable Criteria:
- A professional social work qualification and registered on the appropriate part of the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) register, without condition;
- a first level registered nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC register
- allied health professions registered with the Health Professions Council.
- Experience of managing staff
- Experience of developing timely reports and responses to operational and strategic objectives
- Experience of leading on compliance with Domiciliary Care Agencies Minimum Standards & Quality Assessment Framework.
- Experience of leading on ISO compliance
Starting on 23 days annual leave plus Cedar Recognises 12 statutory daysOrganisation Pension available on completion of probationary period with Standard Life Group ( Cedar contributi on 4%, employee 4) Occupational sick Pay Scheme, increases with length of serviceInvestor in People Champion with commitment to development of the staff through training and learning opportunities
