About Us

South Eastern Play & Creative Therapies is a child and adolescent mental health service with growing high demand. We offer a range of therapeutic services including play therapy and counselling, creative art therapies, family play therapy, group programs, and training/PD.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a team of passionate Therapists specialising in play therapy or creative arts therapy.

Work Type: Sub Contractor part-time (2-3 days available - Thursday, Friday & Saturday)

Location: Officer (Southeast Melbourne)

What are we looking for?

You will be an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents and families. You will be caring, compassionate and confident in your therapeutic practice. You are keen to contribute, share your skills and experience and work in a supportive team environment.

Essential:

  • Undergraduate/Postgraduate training in Social Work
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience working with children and young people
  • Experience and training in using trauma informed frameworks and neurodiverse affirming approaches
  • Training and experience in implementing play based therapies to children and young people
  • You must have an ABN, business insurance, current registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Current registration as a Medicare provider

Desirable:

  • Masters qualification in Play Therapy or working towards completing play therapy training
  • Training and experience in Family Therapy
