Parts Supervisor (NJE) [Portugal]


 

Purpose of Position

Support the Maintenance department ensuring aircraft parts warehousing, shipping, receiving, and materials are in place to enable completion of rectification to maximize aircraft availability. Supervise aircraft material inventory and motivate the Aircraft Materials coordinators to the defined achieve goals, maximize performance, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Assist the Planning & Logistics Manager with the responsibilities of the Materials group.


Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Apply the NetJets Safety Policy and Management System requirements and ensure all team members are ambassadors of the company safety requirements;
  • Ensure all team members are applying disciplined working practices providing consistency and compliance with defined policies and procedures;
  • Responsible for prioritising, managing, and distributing work assignments and projects to direct reports to achieve an effective outcome;
  • Supervise and maintain the NetJets inventory, which includes maintaining a robust record in a management system, ensuring purchase orders, repair orders and core returns are transacted efficiently and correctly;
  • Supervise and coordinate the Materials teams for the planning and control of aircraft spares required prior to scheduled inspections and to assist with unscheduled aircraft maintenance requirements;
  • Liaise with the Planning & Logistics Team and Maintenance Operations Management to ensure adequate inventory levels at key strategic locations, maximizing aircraft availability;
  • Support Maintenance Operations Management in liaising with each of the respective OEMs & Vendors to ensure a robust supply chain that supports effective recoveries times of aircraft;
  • Bridge and manage processed orders between the Line Planning and Materials teams;
  • Supervises and approves the control and shipping of repairable parts to authorised vendors ensuring all quotes for work are approved and costs are reflected in RAMCO. Where parts are deemed BER then the defined process shall be followed;
  • Manage the return of all routable off-cores to the suppliers in a timely manner, liaising with the Materials team to avoid financial penalties;
  • Ensure all parts associated with warranty claims are processed in appropriate timeframes as per NetJets standards;
  • Collaborate, monitor and review the contracted shipping agents performance levels ensuring the accuracy costs and service excellence supports the demands;
  • Provide support to the internal Tax department on matters related to HMRC End Use Relief ensuring compliance for this regime;
  • Develop tools, techniques, and procedures to ensure team flexibility, versatility, teamwork, engagement and improved work methods and workflows. Recommend and action changes to the appropriate NTA Maintenance documentation and procedures, to improve efficiency in the performance of all related parts and supply chain tasks and functions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

  • Engineering degree or minimum 5 years of aircraft spares/inventory experience within a Part 145 or manufacturing organisation as a team leader or higher position;
  • Comprehensive understanding of Global Material Inventory control and knowledge of European Custom and Tax requirements related to aircraft parts;
  • Good knowledge and understanding of EASA/CAA UK/FAA regulations and requirements related to aircraft Materials;
  • Strong analytical, organisational and attention to detail skills;
  • Cost conscious and business-critical analysis;
  • Fluency in Business English (written and spoken);
  • High Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
