VACANCY: Sales Ledger Assistant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in Musselburgh within our Accounts team. Working within a team of seven, reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will assist in the daily running of the busy Sales Ledger function.

On a day-to-day basis your responsibilities will include:

· Monthly and 4 weekly invoicing runs

· Setting up new customer accounts

· Maintaining customer records

· Dealing with queries from clients both over the telephone and via email

· Following up all queries and ensuring they are resolved quickly and efficiently

· Monitoring of busy team mailbox

· Liaising with other departments within the business, based across the UK

· Assisting the Credit Controller to resolve queries

· Carrying out financial profitability reviews

· Other ad hoc finance duties as required

Required Skills:

· Previous sales ledger experience is preferred

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

· Keen to work in a busy fun environment

· Able to prioritise task and meet deadlines

· Strong organisational skills

· Good IT skills (in particular Excel)

· Team player

Salary £24-26k dependant on experience.

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (working times to be agreed), with an hour paid lunch daily.
