Medical Receptionist

My Client based East Belfast require a Medical Receptionist to join their team on a Part-time temporary basis with a view to becoming permanent.
Duties are as follows:
General reception duties - greeting patients in person and on telephone, making, cancelling appointments, providing information regarding practice services,
Entries into patientâs computer records as directed,
Liaising with Business Services with regard to patient registrations, changes in address; making and updating patient charts, inc! l. amalgamations
Liaising with pharmacist, nursing ho! mes, where required to provide repeat prescriptions when authorized
Co-coordinating patient appointments, hospital letters, prescription requests and information with the Treatment Room nurses and other staff members to ensure procedures are effective, and patientsâ and Doctorsâ requirements are met in an efficient and accurate manner
Diary management
Maintain a tidy reception desk and public areas
Organising and maintaining records
Use of internet, including sending and receiving e-mails
Providing an effective support service to the clinicians and admin team
Contributing to and working with the team as required
Complying with the policies and procedures of the Practice
Other duties as required
Willing to train in typing and prescriptions
Essential Criteria:
4 GSCE's at Grade A-C to include English Language or equivalent/higher qualification AND 1 years' experie! nce in a medical clerical/admin role
OR
2 years' experience in a medical clerical/admin role.
Experience in receptionist role
Desirable Criteria
Fully computer literate
RSA/OCR stage 1 Word-processing (Parts 1 & 2) or equivalent
Audio Typing
Experience of entering data into databases, filtering data and generating reports

The successful Applicant will undergo:
Pre-employment medical examination

Attendance of mandatory training sessions held by the Practice outside of working hours may be required
Hours of work are as follows:
28 hrs per week as follows: - Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 9am â" 3pm, with a 1pm finish on Thursday 30min unpaid lunch break, for 9am â" 3pm shift, 15min break for 9-1pm shift
Candidate will be required to work until 6pm on occasions
Package:
Salary £8.03 - £8.15 per hour depending on experience
