Due to our continued growth within our Global Business Services Team based in Paisley we have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic Accounts Payable person or recent graduate to join our team, in this entry-level role.
The centre provides financial controllership in the region for two of the Thermo Fisher Scientific groups - Life Sciences Solutions and Special Diagnostics. We are responsible for a large number of entities reporting a total of $2 Billion of revenue per year.
What you will do:
- Ensuring that all transactions are appropriately authorized/approved posted and paid in a timely and efficient way.
- Reconciling ERP uploads
- Dealing with queries in an efficient and timely manner
- Working as part of a large team that has responsibility for accurate and timely input of information (this is essential to the company’s payment processes -vendor invoices, and to the monthly reporting of results to the Corporation.)
- Timely checking and accurate processing of invoices and payments
- Interfacing with various internal departments and external suppliers to resolve any queries.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Ad-hoc Project Work
- May perform other related/ad hoc tasks/projects as required and/or assigned.
Who we are looking for:
- Fluency (written and oral) in English
- Experience in high volume, multi entity, multi-currency processing
- Relevant experience or recent graduation from a related study programme
