Stock Control/ Stores Supervisor

We’re looking for a competent Stock Control/ Stores Supervisor to join our team on a full-time basis working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (Daytime).
Job description
The Stock Control/ Stores Supervisor will help keep control of the stock and manage the running of our busy Stores Departmentwith responsibility for a small on-site team (currently one other member of staff, however this could increase). The right person will have an eye for detail and be accurate and thorough in order to ensure the stores department run smoothly and efficiently, and will be expected to operate the store front during stores opening hours and respond to any queries and requests from theshop floor staff. In addition, the role may involve some travel between company sites (within a 5 mile radius) collecting and delivering components, therefore a driving licence will be required. We may still consider experienced applicants without a driving licence, so please state this clearly in your application if you do not have this.
Your main duties will include:
· Booking in Parts, Materials and Consumables and recording entry on ERP system
· Replenishing consumables shelves and issue parts and materials onto the shop floor
· Control the booking in and out of company tools and organise repairs, servicing or sharpening as needed
. Supervision of on-site stores team (currently 1 other person, however this could increase)
· Travel between company sites (within 5 mile radius) collecting and delivering components as and when required
· Maintain regular communications with Stores department in other company sites in support of the entire business
· General housekeeping to ensure all store areas are kept clean and tidy
· Planning regular stock takes
· Processing returns to suppliers
· Provide cover for when other team members are on leave or absent
Essential & Desirable Skills
· Organised and tidy
· Able to use a computer
· Pro-active and helpful
· Stock control or Warehouse experience is advantageous
· Supervisory experience is advantageous
· Knowledge of Job costing system is advantageous
· Knowledge of tools and tool repairs is advantageous
· A valid UK driving licence.
LOCATION
The place of work is normally at either of our 2 sites in Falmouth or at Mylor Creek Boat Yard, Mylor Bridge.
PAY
A starting rate of between £12.00-£13.00 per hour dependent on experience.
