- Responsible for the assessment of care needs and development, implementation and evaluation of outcomes of care
- Senior Staff Nurses are designated to take charge of the ward in the absence of Sister/Charge Nurse
- Risk Management; be aware and demonstrate safe standards of practice in the Cardiac Medical Unit
- IV Cannulation is desirable
Person requirements
- Registered Nurse
- NMC Registration (not requiring a period of Supervised Placement)
- Permission to undertake employment in the UK (not requiring a work-permit)
- Staff Nurses require a minimum of one year post registration Cardiac Medicine Nursing
- Senior Staff Nurses require a minimum of two year post registration in Cardiac Medicine, in addition to completion of (or commencement of) a recognised Cardiac/Critical Care course
- Demonstrate high standards of clinical practice in acute and fast moving environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- To be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook.
