Job description
Marian House Care Home is an independent 20 Registered Bed Roman Catholic Registered Care Home for Religious Sisters run by the Trustees of the congregation. Set in pleasant grounds this is a lovely place to live and to work. Our residents (all female) are Sisters who have given their lives to caring for those in need – sometimes in our missions abroad or here in the UK and now it is their turn to be cared for by staff here at Marian House.
We are looking for someone who will strive for excellence in their role and have dealt with CQC and Local Authorities monitoring systems, and be able to work with the team to deliver and maintain high CQC ratings.
Please note: All applicants must already hold the legal right to work in the UK.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Cleaning/Housekeeping
* Has worked in a customer focused environment
* Experience of working as a part of a team
* Previous experience of cleaning equipment
* Previous experience in a Care Home setting
Key Skills The successful candidate will be able to:
* Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with a range of people including patients and staff.
* Able to complete paperwork as instructed to Organisation's requirements and standards.
* Able to follow work schedules with minimal day to day supervision after initial training.
* Able to use a variety of cleaning machines.
* Able to move light furniture as part of cleaning duties.
* Able to carry out manual handling tasks on a regular basis.
* Works on own initiative but also as part of the team.
Applicant for this position must have previous relevant experience working within a customer focused environment, posses strong interpersonal skills and be able to have a clear DBS check. Candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
A commitment to the caring aspects and core values of the Sisters’ work is essential.
Job Type: Zero hours contract
Salary: £10.42 per hour
