About the role
Due to business growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled machine operator to join our food production team. This is a full-time position, working 5 days a week, Monday-Friday with core working hours between 7.30-16.30 and some earlier shifts, with an early-hours-shift premium in addition to the standard hourly rate (where applicable).
As a skilled machine operator, you will work within both the butter and mozzarella production teams. This is a physical role which includes machine operation, churning and blending of butter and cheesemaking processes. Experience in dairy production or cheesemaking is desirable however appropriate machine operating skills can be adapted to this role. We actively support skills development and are able to offer full training.
Successful candidates will have the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
About you
· Experience within a production or processing environment ideally in dairy.
· Some skills and experience of production machinery.
· Good attention to detail particularly in relation to food safety. Ideal candidates will have experience of HACCP and/or process control.
· Committed team worker, with the ability to work autonomously as required.
· Ability to adapt within a varied role and problem solve in the production environment.
Work is 3 months temp and then on successful completion a permanent contract will be offered.
