Lead Clinician - Scottish Disorders of Sex Development

Description: NHS Scotland Recruitment is looking of Lead Clinician - Scottish Disorders of Sex Development right now, this job will be placed in Northern Ireland. In line with Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates guidance, National Services Division (NSD) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Lead Clinician for the Scottish Disorders of Sex Development National Managed Clinical Network. The appointment is for a fixed term of two years.

Applicants will be clinical leaders in their field with experience in the provision and development of services for genital anomalies. Working closely with a MCN Manager, the network office and clinical and NSD colleagues the postholder will lead and support the work of the National Managed Clinical Network in implementation of evidence based practice, monitoring of clinical standards and the development of care pathways which support equitable access to genital anomaly services across Scotland. The post holder will also have a key strategic role in promoting and driving forward the strategic development of an effective, integrated, multidisciplinary service for genital anomalies.

Applicants will have a proven record in leading change and a demonstrable understanding of the ethos of Managed Clinical Networks is essential. The ability to work across traditional NHS Board boundaries and organisations is essential as is the ability to manage change within a complex environment. It is likely that the successful candidate will be from a medical, nursing or Allied Health Professional background. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of an innovative team to deliver significant improvements in patient care.
