On behalf of our client Servisource Recruitment which to appoint an Environmental Health Officer to assist in the enforcements of environmental health legislation an! d delivery of environmental health services under the Director of Environmental Health.
Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect, audit and risk assess commercial premises across the range of Environmental Health functions in accordance with relevant legislation and approved codes of practice or guidance
Inspect, audit and recommend approval of relevant premises under E.C. directives and to enforce legislation in these premises liaising with Senior Officers from DARD, MAFF and E.C. Veterinary inspectors.
Inspect Health Service premises for compliance with current food Safety standards. This includes Hospitals, Residential and Nursing Homes and Child Care Facilities.
Assess licence applications for public firework displays inspect sites monitor displays and set conditions on licences issued by the Northern Ireland Office
Inspect sports ground for compliance with relevant legislation. Provide advice to sporting bodies seeking s! ports council safety related grant aid.
Carry our Por! t Health duties at Warrenpoint Docks
Inspect caravan sites on an annual basis to enforce compliance with site licence conditions
Act as an expert witness and provide specialist opinion in court proceedings, Public Inquiries and other public meetings as required.
Investigate and resolve complaints across the range of Environmental Health functions.
