The Staff Nurse will work as a member of the Children's Hospice Care Team, providing holistic care to life limited children with complex needs,! and their families in Horizon West and community settings (e.g. home based care or day care in schools etc).
Based on Band 5 (£20,876 - £27,016 per annum) Part-time posts (mininum 20 hours per week) and Waiting List
The post holder will participate in the assessment, planning and delivery of care to the children and the delegation of care to non registered members of the care team. The role will include both day and night duty.
Applicants must be a Registered Nurse on the NMC Register Level 1 (Children's) - those applying for registration within the next 4 months can apply. In addition, applicants must have:
Good interpersonal and communication skills;
Be highly motivated and enthusiastic with an interest in and knowledge of children's palliative care.
Be able to use initiative and work as a team member demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
