The School o! f Nursing at Ulster is one of the most successful Nursing Schools in the UK offering a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and CPD courses. The Nursing and Midwifery CouncilÂ's 2011-12 monitoring results rated Ulster as one of only two approved education institutions to get an Â'outstandingÂ' grading for practice learning and one of only five institutions to get Â'outstandingÂ' in any of the five areas monitored. The Institute of Nursing and Health Research, which works with the School of Nursing and the School of Health Sciences, has a vibrant research culture and in the most recent RAE process in 2008 Nursing at Ulster was ranked within the top three UK universities.
The postholder will join a successful and well established team and will provide leadership in Mental Health Nursing teaching and research. S/he must have experience of working with people with mental ill health across a range of settings and must have at least four research outputs at 3*/4* level e! ligible for inclusion in REF 2014.
An attractive rewa! rd package, including a competitive starting salary, access to a pension scheme and financial assistance with relocation expenses is available for an appointment at the level of Professor. The salary scale for Reader is £47,341 to £54,858.
The post is available at an early date mutually convenient to the University and the successful candidate.
The interview panel will determine if the successful applicant will be appointed at Professor or Reader level.
