About the role
Joining us to become a DWP accredited Disability Assessor that will support the new PIP legislation. We are looking for our Nurses / OT / Physio's to embark upon a new and exciting challenge with Capita utilizing your current clinical knowledge and natural skills of empathy, listening and observation with Claimants of the PIP ! benefit. This is similar to a functional assessment and you wi! ll be assessing how disabilities or impairments have an impact on activities of daily living. As a number of Claimants prefer to be assessed at home, the role will be community based and this is where Capita Health and wellbeing - and you - come in.

As a contractor you have the ability to work various days within Mon - Fri 9-5.30 to suit your lifestyle and in our clinics, we have permanent, full time roles available.
Upon starting with us, you will undertake a thorough 2 week training program which will take you through both clinical and practical modules. This will build on your experience and equip you with the new skills essential for the role, all of which contributes to your continued CPD, enabling you to retain your professional qualification. The training has been designed for your convenience, with ! a combination of office/home based training to fit around your current commitments whilst preparing you to be a fully trained Disability Assessor.
Who we're looking for
This is really important... You must have at least two years' post-registration experience as an Occupational Therapist (OT), Physiotherapist, Nurse or Doctor with a licenceto practice and must be registered with the NMC / HCPC with a valid PIN. You must also have the ability to write comprehensive reports using a laptop and various IT systems and have strong communication, with the sensitivity required when meeting claimant.
